TOWN CREEK -- Mon Hagood 79, of Town Creek 3 died today at 6 a.m. at a Florence hospital. He was a native of Lawrence County and a member of the Methodist Church.
Services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Sanderson's Chapel Methodist Church, the Rev. James E. Alexander and the Rev. T. W. Whatley officiating. Burial will be in the Ferguson Cemetery, Highsmith Funeral Home directing.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Hattie Hagood of Town Creek 3; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Forbes and Mrs. William Counts, both of Town Creek 3; three sons, Cecil Hagood of Town Creek, William B. Hagood of Waterloo and Charles Hagood of Moulton; three grandchildren; two brothers, Hobart Hagood of Moulton and McKinley Hagood of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Fred White and Mrs. Everett Flannigan, both of Town Creek 3, and Mrs. Mabel Hagood of Tuscaloosa.
