Lillian H. Deahl, 96, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 21, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Polk Street Methodist Church chapel with Dr. Jim Garrett, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mrs. Deahl was born May 14, 1905, at Jayton. She earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree from West Texas State University. She also attended Clarendon College and the University of Texas. She taught fifth grade at Lee Bivins Elementary School from 1950-1970. She also taught at Panhandle.
She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church since 1946 and belonged to the Business and Professional Women's Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jan Hardin Deahl in 1967, a grandchild, and 15 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Charles Deahl of Hastings on Hudson, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Polk Street United Methodist Church; or a favorite charity.
