Fianna "Annie" Schnerr was "Pennsylvania Dutch." She married John Hagerty in White Haven, Pennsylvania, in about 1861. She moved to California in the 1870's. By the late 1880's, she was living in Sacramento. The inscription at the base of the monument reads, "Rest mother in quiet sleep, While friends in sorrow o'er thee weep."
