(Veteran) Funeral services were held Friday, July 27, at Gass-Haney Chapel in Columbus for Duane R. Hadcock, 68, of Columbus, who died July 24, 1990, at his home. Reverend Dell Funk officiated. Burial was at Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Hartman Post 84.

Duane R. Hadcock was born June 23, 1922 in Columbus to Isaac and Edith Patchen Hadcock. He was raised by George and Minnie Hadcock and was educated in Columbus Public Schools.

He was a lifetime resident of Columbus, a former truck driver and was retired from Fleischer Manufacturing. He served in the military during World War II from 1942-45. He saw action in Europe and fought in the “Battle of the Bulge.” He was a VFW member both in Columbus and Blair.

He married Mary Jane Millrons of Blair on January 12, 1942 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; three daughters, Beverly Ann Kinzer of Madison and Mary Louise Young and Pamela Andersen, both of Columbus; four sons, Robert Duane of West Point, and Dennis Claar, Michael Lynn and Curtis Allison, all of Columbus; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
