OBITUARY - Daily Plain Dealer, Wabsah (IN) - October 22, 1895
Margaret Stone, mention of whose serious illness has been made in the Plain Dealer, died at her home on Ferry Street, at 5:55 o'clock Monday evening, of typhoid fever, after an illness of one week.

Mrs. Stone was the daughter of Dr. James Hackleman. She was born at Brookville, Franklin County, Indiana, April 19, 1820; came to Wabash October 28, 1835, and has resided here and in this vicinity ever since. She married Curtis Stone December 30, 1838. The deceased raised a family of eight children, four sons and four daughters.

The four sons served in the Army during the late war. Three of the family are dead, leaving the following children to mourn their loss: Tilghman Stone, of South Dakota; Seth Stone, Mrs. Ellen Shaffer, Mrs. Sylvia Heslet and Sarah Stone.

The funeral will take place Wednesday, October 28, just sixty years after the date of her arrival at Wabash.
