Rose Eileen "Hackett" Tribble, 84, of St. Albans, WV, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 15, 1926 in Middleport, OH, she was a daughter of the late George and Rhoda Ingram Hackett.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, George "Shorty" Hackett, Jr.

Rose retired with 42 years of service as a secretary for Union Carbide Corp. Her last position was secretary for Bob Chenoweth in the Engineering Dept. Following retirement, Rose and husband Joe enjoyed many years of traveling, golf and enjoying each other's company and the company of their family and many friends. Rose was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Albans. It was said about Rose that when she entered a room it lit up. She was very much loved by everyone who knew her and whose life she touched.

She is survived by
her husband of 54 happy years, Joseph B. Tribble;
daughter, Kim and husband, Sam Gibson of St. Albans, WV;
granddaughter, Amy Sprague of St. Albans, WV;
brother, Mike "Mickey" Hackett of Ft. Myers, FL;
sisters, Mary Pickens, Barbara Mullen and Yvonne Scally all of Middleport, OH;
several nephews and nieces.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Albans, WV with Father Patrick M. McDonough as Celebrant. Burial in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.
