Rosemary J. Amstutz, 82, of Berne, Indiana passed away at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in the Swiss Village Retirement Community.

Rosemary was born on January 14, 1926 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of Paul G. and Frieda (Zurcher) Habegger, both deceased. She married Albert Amstutz on November 25, 1944 and he preceded her in death in 2005.

Rosemary was a member of the First Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana where she was a Sunday school teacher and a church deaconess. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, and sewing. Rosemary was also a Adams Central Bible School Director.

Rosemary is survived by a son, J. Steven (Diane) Amstutz of Berne, Indiana; a daughter, Marjorie (Philip) Morgan of Monroe, Indiana; a daughter, Mary Carol (Pastor James) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; and a sister, E. Angelene Amstutz of Berne, Indiana. Other survivors include six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 in the First Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana with the Pastor Kris McPherson, Pastor James Schwartz, and Pastor Max Haines officiating. Interment will follow in the M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 in the Swiss Village Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the First Missionary Church on Saturday.

Preferred memorials are to the First Missionary Church, Swiss Village, or Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
