Ann Marie Thomas Habeb, 95, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Shinnston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Namour Thomas.

She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a graduate of W.Va. Business College. She was a former real estate Broker and had owned and operated Habeb Bakery in Clarksburg, W.Va. She retired from the Holiday Inn of Parkersburg. She was an avid fan of Mountaineer Football and the New York Yankees.

Ann totally devoted her entire life to loving and serving her family; she enjoyed their company and feeding them. She was a woman of great faith and instilled that into her family by both word and example.

She is survived by two sons David Habeb (Bev) and Gary Habeb (Kandi), all of Parkersburg; two daughters Deborah Habeb (Neil Stretcher) of Hendersonville, Tenn. and Judith Tennant (Danny) of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren Michael, Rob, Sam, Ben, Mandy, Seth, Deric, Anna, Josh, Zack, Sarah, Amy, Rachel, and Katie; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers Toby Thomas of Parkesburg and Peter Thomas of Florida; a sister Julia Brookover of Marietta, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Andy Switzer as celebrant. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with a Christian Wake Service at 7:30 p.m.

The family wishes to show appreciation for the special care given by Kathy Shaffer and the compassion shown by the staff at Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
