Stanley-Wayne Henry Haas, 46, died Sunday June 19, 1988 suddenly at his residence in the Town of Delmar, Stanley, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born September 29, 1941 in Thorp to Irene (Baures) and Robert Haas. Wayne grew up in the Thorp area.
Wayne married Nancy Wald on June 25, 1960 at St. Bernard's Church, Thorp. After their marriage they farmed in the Stanley area and he previously ran a delivery route for Gustafson Dairy for many years.
He was a member of Holy Family Parish and was a past scout leader.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, Stanley; two sons, Alan, Stanley and James, Gilman; three daughters, Kim Haas, Stanley, Tamara (Dave) Frederickson. Eau Claire and Jane (William) Wilczek, Thorp; five brothers, Melvin, Wilfred and Richard, all of Thorp, Arnold, Sheboygan and Gerald, Greenwood; four sisters, Virginia (Loren) Mullison, Westminster, Colo., Colette (Elroy) Hurth, Cadott, Marie Haas, woodland Hills, Calif., and Therese (Thomas) Jenness, Thorp; three grandsons.
He was preceded by his parents; one brother; two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley with Father Jeremiah Cashman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Stanley.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley. A parish Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
