Dorothy F. Haack, 81 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at her home Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2013. She was born on February 6, 1932 at Smith Center, KS to Cornelius Earl and Alma (Grothaus) Duntz. Dorothy and Roger Haack were married on August 11, 1984 and lived at Elk Creek, NE until moving to Beatrice in 1997. She had worked as a seamstress at Formfit Rogers in Beatrice and was an aide at the hospital at the Beatrice State Developmental Center for over 12 years. She was a member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church, R. Johnson, NE and was a member of the Women's Circle; and was an over 10 gallon blood donor for the Blood Mobile. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband Roger; 4 daughters and one son, 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one brother and 5 sisters

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church near Johnson, NE with Reverend Bruce Berggren officiating. Interment will be in the Martin Luther Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state Wednesday from 10:30-9:00 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with the family greeting friends from 6:30-8:00, and at the church one hour preceding the service on Thursday. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. Thursday at the church. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge. These services have been entrusted to the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice.
