Alva Emerson Guyer, the youngest son of Edgar S and Mary Viola Guyer, was born 19 Sep 1910 and departed this life 27 May 1923 at the age of 13y 8m 8d, following a sickness of only a few days.

Alva had never as yet publicly professed a hope in Jesus. His parents talked to him about his hopes for the future and in reply, Alva said that if he did recover it would be all-right, if I die I will go to Heaven.

He leaves to mourn his death, a father, mother, 1 sister Ruby Edith, 4 grandparents, many other relatives and a host of friends. His older brother proceeded him to the beyond at the age of 12 years.
