Christobal Gurule, 79, of Blanco, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006. He was born Nov. 16, 1927, in La Jara.
Christobal was a World War II veteran in the Army Air Corps with the 11th Airborne Division.
Christobal was preceded in death by his wife, Carlota F. Jacques Gurule; his parents, Eduvigen and Amalia Gurule; and his brothers, Fred Gurule and Eugenio Gurule.
He is survived by daughters, Irene Lewis and Lorraine Gurule; sons Gilbert and Michael Gurule; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Blanco, led by Francis Romero. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 21, at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Blanco, with Father Jim Walker as celebrant.
Christobal will then be laid to rest at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Gurule, Nathanual Lewis, Zeph Lewis, Jeremy Schrock, Steven Gurule, Julain Selph, Adolfo Romero and Andrew Herren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Sipe and George Aguilar.
