GLADYS PEARL CADWALLADER

"Gladys Pearl Cadwallader died at her home in Dayton on Saturday, September 1. She was 95. she was born July 16, 1906, in Spearfish, North Dakota to Henry Gulick and Minnie Streeter. She moved to Dayton 64 years ago from Belle Fourche, South Dakota.

A past member of the Dayton Fire Belles, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and working in her garden. A homemaker, she was married to Vern Cadwallader, who died in 1974.

She is survived by daughters May Walmsley, Margaret Clarke and son Vern Cadwallader, all of Dayton; and daughters Juanita Hoffert of Carson City and Rosanna Maker of Sparks, Nevada; eighteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her daughter, Alice Slater, died in 1997.

A memorial service is scheduled Thursday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith in Carson City. She will be buried in the Dayton Cemetery at a later date. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements."
