CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held at a pending date and time for Elmire Brasseaux, age 96, the former Elmire Guidry, who passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 6:24 a.m. at her residence in Carencro.
Mrs. Brasseaux was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a motherly type that always took care of her grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids. We will miss her smile and encouragement always.
Survivors include one son, Herbert Brasseaux of Scott; one daughter, Diana Joubert and husband, A.J., of Carencro; five grandchildren, Wendy Gonsoulin, Shannon Brasseaux, Toby Joubert, Maria Joubert and Erica Joubert; fifteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Brasseaux, Sr.; and her parents, Arthur Guidry and the former Euphemie Guilbeau.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from time until time Monday and will continue from reopen time until service time on Monday.
