Donald E. Grube Sr., 74, Alumax retiree
Donald E. Grube Sr., 74, of 25 E. Marion St., Lititz, formerly of the 100 block of Owl Hill Road, Lititz, died Friday evening at Pleasant View Retirement Community in Manheim. He was ill for the past six years.

For 28 years, he worked for Alumax in Lancaster, retiring in 1969.

A member of Salem Lutheran Church in Kissel Hill, he served as head usher, councilman and Sunday school treasurer.

He was a member and treasurer of the Bear Mountain Camp in Tioga County.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.Born in Warwick Township, he was a son of the late Abram R. and Esther Balmer Grube.

He was married to Mae H. Ober Grube for 55 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Virginia L., wife of Regis E. Stumpf of Lititz; a son, Donald E. Jr., husband of Judy L. Grube of Lititz; four grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy M., wife of J. Russell Ober, of Brickerville; and two brothers, J. Harold, husband of Verna Grube of Elm, and John K., husband of Joanne Grube of Brickerville.
