Sylvia Marie Collins 88, of Bloomington, went to her reward on June 15, 2010 surrounded by her family and friends at Garden Villa Health & Rehabilitation center.
Born February 15, 1922 in Bloomington, IN. she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Fanny Ethel (Polson) Grubb.
Sylvia was a member of Apostolic Bible Church and had worked several years as a house keeper for Bill and Gayle Cook.
She is survived by 5 Children, Kay Sylvester of Bloomfield and her husband Phillip, Wanda Vaught of Bloomfield and her husband Roy, Brenda Shepherd of Bedford, Steven Collins of Jeffersonville and Roy Collins of Ellettsville; 17 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death, in addition to the parents by her husband, Denzel Collins who died in 2001 and 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 18, 2010 at Day Funeral home with Rev. Ward Humphrey and Rev. Dewayne Coffman, officiating.
Burial in Salt Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Bloomington, IN.
