Winchester Journal July 25,1877, page 2
Elizabeth Bader, wife of Michael Bader, of Red Key, Jay County, Indiana, was born on the 2d day of May 1843 and died on the 18th day of July 1877 aged 34yr,22mo and 16 day.
Sister Bader had for many years been a devoted Christian and though her afflictions were tedious and severe, she bore them with Christian patience and resignation, and that grace that had been her comfort in affliction proved her assurance in death.
Her death was triumphant. She leaves a husband, four children and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her death.
Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.A. Moorman, after which she was intered in the Rhehoboth Cemetery.
(Through research we believe her children were: John W. b. 9/1863, Marion b. 1865/66, Bella b. 1859/60, and Alfred b. 1872/73. Were unable to find them in 1870 census but in 1880 Marion, Bella and Alfred were living with Michael and his second wife Matilda Ridgeway with her 14 year daughter, Sally. John was married in Red Key on Apr. 12,1888 so parents were mentioned.)
