Andrew Earl Grover, 43, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 19, 2003, at his residence in Rutland, VT.
He was born March 8, 1960, in Bellows Falls, VT, the son of Earl Dewey Grover, Jr and Frances Renaud. He grew up in Putney and attended Brattleboro Union High School.
He relocated to Rutland in 1999, where he had been employed by Martin Grover Roofing.
Mr. Grover had a very strong love for his children. He was a collector of comic books, baseball cards and antiques. He enjoyed fishing, loved skiing, snowboarding and driving and working on his 1968 Plymouth Satellite. He loved his family dog, Smokey.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Denise Martelle; a daughter, Misty Martelle, and a son, Michael Martelle, all of Rutland; his mother of Westminster; his father and stepmother, Julia Grover, of Brattleboro; seven sisters, Carrie Phelps of Concord, N.H., Pamela Blanchette of Rutland, Lynne Bonnette of Chesterfield, N.H., and Michelle Grover, Heather Grover, Melissa Grover and Chanel Grover of Brattleboro; three brothers, Martin Grover of Wallingford, and Justin Grover and Julian Paul Grover of Brattleboro; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending and are under the care of Ker-Westerlund & Fleming Funeral Home.
