Lisa Grounds Adkins, 39, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Saturday February 8, 2003 in St. Marys Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1963 in Cabell County, WV to Charles and Diana Forbush Grounds of Huntington, WV.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church Barboursville, WV, a child evangelism fellowship missionary, Awana leader, good news club teacher, Christian Woman's Club chairman, and stonecroft ministries speaker.
She was preceded in death by
one brother Charles Westley Grounds;
maternal grandparents Mark and Helen Heffner and James Forbush;
paternal grandparents Walter and Marguerite Grounds.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by
her husband Darrell Adkins;
two sons Taylor and Travis Adkins of Proctorville;
one daughter Joyce Brooks of Crown City, Ohio;
two sisters Annette Grounds of Culloden, WV and Michelle Merritt and her husband Greg of Durham, NC;
one niece Diana Merritt;
two nephews Brandon Beckner and Stephen Merritt.
Funeral service was conducted at Fellowship Baptist Church Barboursville, WV by Dr. Jeremiah Warren. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
