She was preceded in death by
one brother Charles Westley Grounds;
maternal grandparents Mark and Helen Heffner and James Forbush;
paternal grandparents Walter and Marguerite Grounds.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by
her husband Darrell Adkins;
two sons Taylor and Travis Adkins of Proctorville;
one daughter Joyce Brooks of Crown City, Ohio;
two sisters Annette Grounds of Culloden, WV and Michelle Merritt and her husband Greg of Durham, NC;
one niece Diana Merritt;
two nephews Brandon Beckner and Stephen Merritt.

Funeral service was conducted at Fellowship Baptist Church Barboursville, WV by Dr. Jeremiah Warren. Burial was in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
