Stephen Gross Sr. of Lastrup Died Yesterday
Stephen Gross Sr. of Lastrup died yesterday at his home at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. He was 75 years of age and passes into the great beyond after a lingering illness of many months. He has resided on a farm in Lastrup for about 35 years and was well known here.
Funeral arrangements for the deceased have not yet been made at this writing.

Laid To Rest
Stephen Gross Sr., who passed away Wednesday was laid ot rest in St. John's cmeetery at Lastrup Saturday morning. Burial services were held at 9 o'clock, Rev. H. Klein officiating.
The deceased was born at Fond Du Lac, Wis., and at the age of 21 years came to Stearns County remaining there until 1874 when he came to Pierz. In 1883 he was married to Antonia Preimesberger and made his home on his farm 5 1/2 miles northeast of Pierz where he resided until his passing away.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six children, 3 sons and 3 daughters. They are Theodore of Buh, John and Frank of Lastrup, Mrs. John Paulson of Buh, Mrs. Hubert Virnig of Lastrup, and Mrs. Charles Brun of Williston, N.D.
Many friends join with the Journal in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
