Robert was born on Feb. 4, 1925 in Weed. He was a lifelong resident of Siskiyou Co. He was owner/operator of Groppi's Market in Weed. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, having served during WWII. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his son Randy Groppi of Weed, and daughter Shelly William of La Jolla.
He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Oct. 22, 2010 at the Winema Cemetery in Weed.
