Carole Grizzard Broocke, 45, of the 500 block of Scojo Drive, a retired registered nurse, died Sept. 4, 1990, in her home. Mrs. Broocke, a native of Southampton County, had retired from Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Louise Obici School of Nursing and was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Broocke; two daughters, Deborah L. Goreham and Jennifer B. Moore, both of Hampton; three sisters, Lillie Ballew of Taylor, S.C., Louise Nelson of Suffolk and Ruth Phillips of Greer, S.C.; and two brothers, Bertrane L. Grizzard of Drewryville and W.T. Grizzard of Lawrenceville. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Merle D. Correll. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Southampton Memorial Hospital.
