Charlotte Willard was the daughter of Sherlock and Mary Bramhall Willard. She married Eber E Griswold in the Salem Church, Rochester, Olmsted Co MN. They soon moved to SD where Eber homesteaded a farm on the banks of the Sioux River near Canton. They had three children, Carrie, Allie and Harvey. Unfortunately 13 year old Carrie, and 9 year old Harvey died there of measles. In 1890 they moved to Cullman AL. Their daughter Allie and her baby son Phillip died in a home fire in 1905, Eber died in 1906, Allie's husband Barney died in 1907, leaving Charlotte to care for the remaining two grandchildren. She had a full life of caring for them and their children until her death in 1934.
