GERALD DEAN GRINDSTAFF
Gerald D. Grindstaff, age 66, of Ellis Road in Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, June 4,2010 at the Memoriall Campus of Mission Hospital.
Born on August 23, 1943 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Ike and Edna Duncan Grindstaff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lillian "Sis" Vaughn Grindstff. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Chruch.
The funeral services for Gerald Grindstaff will be conducted on Monday, June,7,2010 at 3:00pm in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Rathbone will conduct the service. Interment will be in the Bear Creek Baptist Chruch cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 2:00pm until the service hour in the funeral home chapel.
Gerald Dean Grindstaff is survived by a son; Jerry Grindstaff of Spruce Pine, a daughter;Dana Grindstaff of Spruce Pine;two grandsons; Josh Grindstaff and Junior Grindstaff both of Spruce Pine; and a brother; Harve Grindstaff of Bakersville.
