In the presence of her family, Enid P. Grigsby passed away peacefully from this life into the next on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at her home in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Born March 22, 1920, in Fanshawe, Oklahoma to W.O. and Ann Pennington, she grew up in the Pleasant Grove area, and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1937.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil L. Grigsby, married 45 years; her parents, and one sister, Udene Boatright.
She is survived by a son, his wife, a daughter, grandsons and granddaughters, her sisters, and their husbands, one brother and his wife and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Enid live a life of faith having served in various capacities for over 50 years in First Baptist Church, Hartford. During that time, she touched many lives with a quiet wisdom born out of her knowledge of God's word and her very practical insight for living. During her final six years, she moved to Hot Springs to be near her famly, a special blessing for which her children will always be grateful. As always, she was devoted to her family and enjoyed especially good times when her great-grandchildren were in town.
Few marriages have ever demonstrated so clearly God's grace and love as did her marriage to our dad. We are at peace that they are now at last, together again. Confident of this, the family rejoices in her life and will miss her until we brought together again.
The service was held at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hartford with Pastor Paul McClung officiating.
