Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Attica, Kansas with Reverend John C. Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Attica Cemetery, Attica, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday at Prairie Rose in Anthony.
Memorials in memory of Betty may be given to Attica Long Term Care or to Hospice Care of Kansas and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Betty Ruth Bateman Grigsby, daughter of Allen and Beulah (Price) Bateman was born on a farm in the Attica area on February 23, 1921
She passed away March 30, 2010 at the Attica Long Term Facility at the age of 89.
Betty attended the Nine Cottonwood Country School and graduated from Attica High School with the class of 1938.
On October 23, 1938, she was united in marriage with Walter Myron Grigsby. They resided on a ranch near Sunnyside, Washington where Myron was employed by Charlie Jenson. While there, a daughter, Patricia was born.
They returned to the Attica area in 1940 where they remained life-long residents as a farming family. Three more children were born here: David, Gary and Nancy.
Betty was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church since the 1940's. Her passion included gardening, sewing, cooking, shopping, and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Beulah Bateman, husband, Walter Myron Grigsby, and one daughter, Patricia Ann (Grigsby) Koeppen.
She is survived by two sons, David Grigsby and his wife, Sherry, Gary Grigsby and wife, Rogena, all of Attica; and one daughter, Nancy Culver and husband, Bob of Oklahoma City, OK; one son-in-law: Roger Koeppen of Wichita; eight grandchildren: Brad Culver, Garett Grigsby, Kim Barnes, Kelli Kliewer, Gina Clark, Neil Grigsby, Brandon Grigsby and Megan Inslee; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Don Bateman, of Attica and Kenneth Bateman and his wife, Jackie of Merridian, Idaho.
