Services for Marthell Grigsby, 59, of Elkhart will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bailey and Foster Chapel with Rev. W.D. Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Myrtle Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mrs. Grigsby died Friday at her residence.
She was born July 13, 1945 in Anderson County to Mitchell Cooper & Ruby Kennedy Cooper.
Mrs. Grigsby was a baptist. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Grigsby who died in 2003; and her father. She is survived by her mother Ruby Keen of Elkhart; daughter Marla Stevens and her husband Kelly of Elkhart; son Mark Eugene Grigsby
and his wife Melissa of Porter, and Brandon Grigsby of Elkhart; sisters, Elaine Lowery of Elkhart, and Donetta Petters of Denton; brothers Marlon Cooper of Palestine and Tammy Mays of Colorado Springs, Colo; and three grandchildren; Brady Stevens of Elkhart, Erin Grigsby of Porter and Eric Grigsby of Porter.
Marthell was in my life for a long time. She was so pretty.
She started dating my cousin Gene Grigsby, they later married.
I always loved Marthell. NB
