Mrs. Bentley died May 31 1985,in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was born December 18, 1911, in Floyd County, the daughter of Linsey and Effie Salyers Griffith.
She was a resident of East Point and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband,Farley Bentley,preceded him in death in 1955.
Surviving are a son, George Bentley of Warsaw, IN; two daughters,Madline Powers of Prestonsburg and Ada Fitzpatrick of East Point;four brothers, Cecil and L. J. Salyers of West Virginia, Odis Salyers of Auxier and Dock Salyers of Hazard; five sisters, Martha Duty of East Point, Ruby Poers of Auxier, Suze Ratliff of Lancer, Nancy Estepof Garrison and Ellen Marselett of Prestonsburg;
13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Following services at Jones- Preston Funeral Home,burial was in the family cemetery at East Point
