Mrs. Cynthia Ball, wife of W. S. Ball, died Oct. 30, at her home in New Liberty after an illness of several weeks.

She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Stribbling, Lawton, Okla. and Mrs. Maggie Smith, New Liberty; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov 1, at the New Liberty Baptist Church by Dr. P. E. Burroughs of Nashville, Tenn. assisted by Rev. J Frank Estep. Burial was in the New Liberty cemetery.

When Mrs. Wilson Ball left this sordid old world to claim that wonderful promise made years ago, by her Savior, " A house not made by hands, A home in the Heavens," a shock was felt the length and breadth of our community.

"Cynthia", as we who loved her knew her, has gone home to be with her Lord, leaving us a memory of devotion and service to her God, her family, and her fellowman.

In sickness or in sorrow, whenever human aid was needed, Cynthia was there, doing willingly anything to be done, pleasant or otherwise. A friend to all; an enemy to none.

She served in her home, her church, her W.M.U. and her community with that sweet, untiring gentleness that so endeared her to her family and friends.

It has been said by those who knew her best, "She has prepared and sent out more trays than any other one person in our city". Undoubtedly this is true; and what pleasure she got in serving her friends in her home. Before her health became so impared, very few days passed that her loving hospitality was not demonstrated to some of her friends.

Her honor, protrayed in every turn, comfort for those who lived there; her lovely quilts and beautiful handwork of all kinds, proved there had been no idle hours in her life.

Her family's welfare was bountifully provided for in the winter by the well filled pantry shelves, and " a surplus for those who needed it"
