Ruby Griffith Gilmore, age 82, a resident of San Antonio, Texas for the past 33 years, died Aug. 23, 2009. She was born in Palestine, Texas on Dec. 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Mary Cook Griffith. She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Frank Gilmore; brother, Leroy Griffith; sisters, Jenny Griffith, Lottie Mae Johnston, Mattieline Cannon, and Vivian Selman. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Randol Gilmore; sons, Randol G. Gilmore, Russell R. Gilmore; daughters, Rhonda R. Gilmore, Robin Gilmore Pean; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Sunset Funeral Home 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
