Erlinda Griego, age 64, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014.
Erlinda was born on April 23, 1949 to Lee and Efrem (García) López in Cimarron, NM.
Erlinda was raised in Raton, NM and graduated from Raton High School.
Erlinda served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Erlinda moved to Albuquerque in 1969 and work in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Erlinda enjoyed crossword puzzles, computer games, her dogs, fishing, camping and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Erlinda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dennis "Jerry" Griego of Albuquerque, NM, son, Terry Griego and his wife, Virginia of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren, Kasey DeHerrera, Jonathan DeHerrera, Alicia Griego and Marcos Griego, siblings, Rufino López, Rita Martínez and Sally López.
Erlinda was preceded in death by a son, Anthony DeHerrera and sister, Flora López.
Viewing and Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. The Rosary and Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Entombment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
