Albuquerque Journal, Tuesday, August 28, 2007 Virginia Gregio, 86, born to parents, Serafin Griego, of Puerto de Luna, NM, and mother, Celestina Sanchez of Anton Chico, NM. Virginia was one of 11 silbings, and was born in Vaughn, NM, on January 13, 1921. She passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque, Saturday, August 25, 2007. She is survived by her sisters, Maggie G Chavez and husband Alfonso, Elvira Chavez and Molly Kelly; a nephew she raised, Arnie Chavez (Arnold) all of Albuquerque, NM. She has many nephews, nieces and great-neices and nephews. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Rosary Altar Society for over 30 years and retired from the Bank of New mexico, after a 40 year banking career. She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers; Nick Griego, Gilbert Griego, Alex Griego, Efren Giego and Seafin Griego; sisters Flora Chavez and Irene Parraz; three nephews, Anthony D Chavez, Paul Griego and Fabian Guillen. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, 5:30 P.M. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 30, 2007, 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd, N.E. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnie Chavez (Arnold), Pat Chavez Flammang, Edwina Chavez Mann (Dina). Alfred Chavez, Aaron Flammang, and Bob Pimentel. honorary Pallbearers are Zachary Flammang, Levi Chavez and Raquel Chavez.
