Author. Born in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1896, he graduated from dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and moved to New York City where he opened an office. It sold over twelve million copies and was made into a movie three times. He moved to California and spent his life writing. During his lifetime sixty of his works were published with almost that many more published after his death.
