Sharon Lynn Baker, Galesburg Chapel
67, of Galesburg, died at 2:38 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born October 16, 1943 in Washington, Ill., the daughter of Lyman Walter and June Frieda Callahan Gresham. She married Wayne Andrews in Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1964 and later married Byron Baker in Washington, Ill. in 1975.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Tyler Andrews of Lawrence, Kan.; two daughters, Tara Lynn Andrews of Seneca, S.C. and Tracy June Garner of Little York, Ill.; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two brothers, Larry W. Gresham of Washington, Ill. and Ward L. Reed of Anchorage, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon was a retired welder. She was raised and educated in Washington, Ill., where she graduated from Washington High School in 1961 and was a member of the Washington Christian Church. She had also lived in West Plaines, Mo. and Colorado Springs before moving to Galesburg.
