Mrs. Lillie Evans

Mrs. Lillie Weeks Evans, 77, of Kilmichael died Thursday, October 23, at Kilmichael Hospital She was a native of Carroll County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gregg and the widow of the late Joseph J. Evans. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mae Allen of Sallis, Mrs. Cujette Evans of Winona and Mrs. Geneva Montague of French Camp; four step-daughters, Mrs. Gervis Kelly and Mrs. Avenelle Skinner, both of Columbus, Ga. and Mrs. Asalene Campbell and Mrs. Esma Jones, both of Kilmichael; one son, Johnny Weeks of Sallis: one stepson, Henry Joe Evans of Winona; five sisters, Mrs. A. J. Mann of Vaiden, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Grace Braswell of Gloster, Mrs. Margie Lishman of Moss Point and Mrs. Avil Lishman of Winona; one brother, Cade Gregg of Belzoni; 11 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 21 step great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great grandchildren.

Services were conducted at Oliver Chapel at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 25 with Rev. C. E. Burden assisted by Rev. Kenneth Moore and Mr. Dan Beardain officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Phillip Evans, Frank Evans, Michael Weeks, Ronnie Weeks, Robert Weeks, Bennie Montague.
