Jeannie G. Bickett, 61, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East. Mrs. Bickett, formerly of Bardstown, KY, was born October 18, 1946 in Louisville. She was a former employee of Louisville Bedding, where she worked for 18 years and was a member of the Catholic faith. She was a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard S. "Dick" Greenwell.

She is survived by her two daughters, Gwendolyn Marie Hathorn and Sandra Lynn Bickett, both of Louisville; four granddaughters; her mother, Nora Hagan Greenwell, of Bardstown; and two brothers, Donnie Greenwell, of Bardstown and Donnie Sanford, of Mercer County. A special thanks to the staff of Baptist Hospital East for the kindness shown to Jeannie during her long illness.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Reverend Joseph Batcheldor will be officiating. Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the St. Joseph Childrens Home, 2823 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville, KY.
