They were married on March 17th, 1939 and later moved to California. Her husband Bob and all three of her brothers preceded her in death. They were Emery Greenwell and George Greenwell of Santa Maria and Roger Greenwell of San Diego. Three of her four children also preceded her in death; sons Rex Lee Bewley and Robert Stanley of Santa Maria and daughter Janice Darlene Fittro of Portervillle and son in law Jonny Fittro.

She worked in the U.S. Post Office in Santa Maria for 26 years and retired in 1982. It was an accomplishment that she was very proud of. She was well liked by all of her co-workers. They have said that she always had a smile on her face and was very pleasant to the public. That is just the way she was.
Margie loved getting together with her family for meals and playing cards, dominos and bingo. She loved working in her yard.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends and will always be remembered. She is now in Heaven looking down at all of her accomplishments and smiling, knowing that she made a lasting impression on many that she knew.
