Jostel entered into rest at Sequoia Hospital due to complications resulting from heart surgery. Jostel slipped peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with three of her children at her side; Jodi Phillips of Lancaster, TX, Dennis Fink of Madera, CA and David Fink of Newark CA. Also with her were son-in-law Ken Phillips of Lancaster, TX and Sandi Vosen of Madera, CA. Also surviving is daughter Linda Day of Waxahachie, TX, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jostel was preceded into rest by her first grandchild, Charles Aday. Also preceding was her dear sister Patsy Threadgill, her first husband and father of Linda, James LeBlond, second husband Wesley Fink, father of Jodi, Dennis and David and her final partner and husband John Bausmith.
Jostel was a proud veteran of the Women's Army Corp serving her nation during WWII. She was a past Worthy-Matron of the Eastern Star and active member of the local chapter in Madera. She was born to Joseph and Stella Greenwell in Waxahachie, TX on September 2, 1922 and resided the past 18 years in Madera, CA.
