Services for Carl C. Greenwald Jr., 54, who died Thursday in North Penn Hospital, Hatfield Township, will be Monday morning in St. John's United Church of Christ, Lansdale. Formerly of Hatfield, Mr. Greenwald had most recently lived in Gilbertsville... He had been diagnosed with cancer last November. He was the husband of Patricia (Palmer) Greenwald of Hatfield.
Born in Camden, N.J., he was a son the Carl C. and Florence (Flemming) Greenwald, of Vacaville, Calif. Mr. Greenwald served in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a truck driver for Indian Valley Bulk Carriers and drive a cab for the Jenkintown Cab. Co. He retired from work due to poor health.
Mr. Greenwald was interested in automotive restoration and auto mechanics. At one time, he raced at the Grand View Speedway in Gilbertsville. During his illness, he started building model cars. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah Greenwald of Hatfield; a sister Nancy Wise and her husband Herbert, of Vacaville, Calif; an uncle Carl Plocher of Chalfont; and two nephews.
Arrangements are by Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home of Lansdale.
