She was born on May 9, 1926, in Stoutsville, the daughter of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Arledge) Greeno.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carl Burns; granddaughter, Tina Marie Young; son-in-law, Kelly "Jack" Neal; sisters, Mary Valentine, Irene Rittenhouse, Florence Bloomfield and Gladys Seaton; brothers, Russell, Rance, Clarence and Gene Greeno.
She is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Ned) Young of Laurelville, Nancy (Mark) Manson and Marlene Neal of Circleville; sons, Danny (Connie Coffman) Burns of Stoutsville and Jerry (Lois) Keaton of Circleville; and special loving relatives, Diane (Smeck) Bush, Alberta Casto and former daughter-in-law, Lois Burns; grandchildren, JR (Teresa) Young, Brenda (Troy) Miller, Eric Young, Shawn (Lesley) Manson, Shannon (Missy) Manson, Shanell Manson, Ronda Neal, Kelly (Heather) Neal and Melissa Burns; brother, Fred (Mary) Greeno of Circleville; sisters-in-law, Evelyn "Tootie" Greeno and Ruth Bartholomew; brother-in-law, Maynard (Helen) Burns; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Hazel's family was what she lived for. She was such a loving and caring person and would do anything for anybody. Hazel loved playing bingo, watching NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Circleville, with Pastor Kenny Smith officiating.
