Margaret G. Ames, 76, of Beallsville, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 1976, in Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born July 13, 1899, in Bentleyville, the daughter of William and Elsie Crouch Greenlee.
She was a member of the Beallsville United Methodist Church, the Joy Bearers Sunday school class, Monongahela Chapter 108 Order of the Eastern Star and the Lady Schenley Rebekah Lodge 121 of Beallsville.
She was president of American Legion Post 877 Auxiliary of Beallsville, and was a member of the Old Trails BPW Club.
She attended Bentleyville High School and graduated from California Normal School in 1919.
She taught in the Bentleyville and Marianna schools until her retirement in 1964.
Surviving are her husband, Marsh Ames; two sons, Richard M. Ames of Fredericktown, Charles B. Ames of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. William S. (Mildred) Cochrane of Washington; five grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.
