Mrs. Mary Greenland Barton, widow of the late Philip Barton, of Ray's Hill, died at the home of George McClellan, of Rainsburg, Monday night. Since her husband's death, which occurred in February, 1901, Mrs. Barton made her home with Mrs. McClellan, who is a sister. Mrs. Barton was a consistent member of the Baptist church for years, and her good works and cheering counsel made a lasting impression upon her friends and neighbors. She lived a little longer than three score and ten years. Mrs. Barton had no children living. She leaves two brothers and three sisters. She was buried on Wednesday in the cemetery of the Lutheran church at Ray's Hill, Rev. F.W. Roher, of Wolfsburg, officiating.
