Final rites for Mrs. Margaret E. Greenhaw, 26, who died Wednesday at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Athens with Rev. L.W. Hart officiating.
The body which arrived in Athens last Friday morning at 4:42 a.m. laid in state in Spry's Chapel until 1:50 p.m. Saturday when the funeral cortege left for the church. Interment followed in the Athens City Cemetery with Spry directing.
The deceased is survived by her husband, Weaver D. Greenhaw; three daughters, Barbara, Jean and Jane Greenhaw; her mother, Mrs. Belle Crim, Athens; four brothers, Jackie of Athens, Bobby of Athens, Charles, U.S. Army and James of Birmingham; two sisters, Miss Dorothy Crim, Athens and Mrs. Earl Watts, Memphis, Tenn.; her father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Weaver A. Greenhaw of Athens.
Pallbearers were Jasper L. Greenhaw, Oakley C. Greenhaw, James E. Crim, Charles Crim, Roy Johnson and Leroy Johnson.
