Amy K. Greenfield of Coatesville

Amy K. Greenfield, 87, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2007, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of the late Fred J. Greenfield, with whom she had shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John and Amy Carlin Keech.

Amy graduated from the Coatesville High School.

While in school she worked at the Auditorium Theater. She was also a secretary/bookkeeper for Layton-Greenfield Inc. in the early 1950s.

Her best work, however, was done as a loving wife, mother and homemaker.

Amy volunteered for many organizations including the Women's Auxiliary to the Coatesville Hospital, primarily in the hospitality shop. She was also active with the Association for the Blind, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts and the East Fallowfield PTA.

She was a Chester County Republican Committee Woman.

She was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church, a former member of the former Coatesville Presbyterian Church, the Women's Jr. Century Club, the Century Club, Coatesville Country Club, Four Nighters and the Parkesburg Area Senior Citizens.

Amy is survived by three children, F. Scott Greenfield and companion, Audrey Hershey of West Grove, Thomas R. Greenfield and wife, Nancy of Sadsburyville, and Patricia, wife of Paul Jacobs of Coatesville; three grandchildren, F. Scott Greenfield of New Orleans, La., Katherine Semancik of Carlisle and Amy Jacobs of Coatesville; and one great-grandson, William Lake Semancik. She is also survived by one stepsister, Norma Hyatt of Quarryville.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery in Parkesburg.

Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike #100, Conshohocken, PA 19428-1180.
