Our community was deeply saddened Friday morning by the unexpected news of the death of Mrs. Dr. Austen, which occurred at an early hour that morning at her home, after a brief illness. Her death was the result of a fall sustained several days ago, and although she had been ill her death had not been anticipated. Mrs. Austen was seventy years of age, was the daughter of the late Robert and Julia Greene of Oswego and was most highly respected by all who knew her. She had made her home in this village with the Doctor for a third of a century, and during her residence here was a consistent member of the Methodist church. She is survived by her husband, one son, Frederick Austen, Jr., and one brother Daniel Greene of Chicago. Interment at Riverside cemetery, Oswego
