Clifford I. Greene Died - May 14, 2012 Thompson - Clifford I. Greene of Thompson, 82, passed away after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family on May 14, 2012. He was the son of Frank Greene and Reba Sarty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and trusted family dog sitter. He survived his wife, Hattie Carney, of 56 years. He leaves his daughter Angela and her husband David, and four sons, Benjamin and his wife Darleen, Ronald and his wife Beth, Jeff and his wife Kathleen, and Carlton and his wife Kelly. He loved his grand children Heather and Alyssa, Eric and his wife Jeannie, Kevin, Mary and her husband Dan, Ben, Megan, and his great grandson Noah. He leaves two sisters, Alice Smith and Nancy Bugbee, and a brother Frank. Clifford loved boating on Quadic Lake, visiting Florida and his many friends. He was known around town as the bike man, fixing bikes for neighborhood children. He spent his younger years working in weaving mills, then many years with the weight watcher organization. For many years he was a devoted volunteer firefighter with the Thompson Hill Fire Department. Clifford spent many years playing dartball with the Men's Fellowship League. Clifford will be greatly missed by all. A Graveside Service will be Saturday May 26th, at 10:00 AM at the Munyan Cemetery, East Putnam, CT.
