Helen Rodgers Greene, 76, of 100 Blue Ridge Dr., wife of George W. Greene, Jr., died Saturday, September 7, 1991.
Born January 31, 1915 in Greer, Greenville County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Walter W. and Nancy Louise Morgan Rodgers.
Mrs. Greene was formerly a saleslady for Belk-Simpson Company and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Barbara) Williams of Travelers Rest; a son, James M. Greene of Reading, PA; a sister, Mary R. Johnson of Greenville; three grandchildren, Debra Timmons Chambers, Donna Greene and Michael Greene and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Woodlawn Memorial Park by Dr. William T. Cooke, Jr. and Rev. Stephen P. Taylor.
The family is at the home but will receive friends at The Mackey Mortuary Monday from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, it is respectfully requested that memorials be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 306 N. Franklin Rd., Greenville, SC 29609 or to Augusta Road United Methodist Church Building Fund, 198 Old Augusta Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673.
