Nancy Luella Barnhouse, 59, Reed Station, RR 6, died Monday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after a brief illness. A Muncie native, she spent most of her adult life in this area.
Mrs. Barnhouse graduated from Gas City High School in 1942. For the last eight years she worked at Story's Truck Stop in Daleville and before that was employed by Welles Department Store here.
She belonged to Avondale Sympathy Club and attended Reed Station Christian Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Gay Boyatt, Martha Hartley, and Jill Heaston, all of Muncie, Patty Brooks, Fort Wayne, adn Donna Boyatt at home; three sons, Richard, Yorktown, Michael, Coldwater, Ohio, and Jack, at home; three sisters, Betty Brannon, Jamestown, Tenn., Nina Longfellow, Muncie, and Helen Klem, Galveston; two brothers, Dickie Green, Muncie, and Jack Hatcher, Richmond; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel, with Rev. Daryl Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Hawk Cemetery. Calling hours are 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
