Mrs. Elizabeth Norma Green, age 78, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away quietly at her home on McKinnon Bridge Road, Thursday morning, January 30, 2003.
Mrs. Green was born on August 17, 1924, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the daughter of Robert Washington and Elizabeth Irlene Goode. Norma, as she was known to friends and family, spent most of her adult life in Homestead, Florida, with her husband of 54 years, DeLance H. Green. They raised three children there, and later moved to Navarre, Florida, for six years and then lived in DeFuniak Springs the past five years.
Mrs. Green has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints since 1983. She was beloved by all who knew her, and spent a lot of her time in recent years crocheting blankets and bears and sewing clothes to donate to premature babies in various hospitals.
Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, DeLance “Bud” Green; one son, Charles E. Green and wife Alice Kay; one daughter, Debra K. Jones and son-in-law Lewis B. Jones, all of DeFuniak Springs; one daughter, Susan M. Allen, of Pompano Beach, Florida; two grandsons, Jared Allen, 10, of Pompano Beach, and Randall L. Curtis and wife Megan R. of Andrews, North Carolina.
Funeral: February 1, 2003, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lakeview Road, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Interment: in the Alaqua Methodist Church Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
