Molly Lue Greenfield, 54, Watertown, died as a result of cancer, Tuesday, June 1st, 2010, in her home. Memorial services were Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, with Reverend Dick Poppen officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Kathy Alwin was the soloist accompanied by Marsha Kurtenbach.

Molly Lue Greenfield was born Nov. 23, 1955, at Watertown, SD, to Roland "Joe" Wellington and Shirley Mae (Stadem) Wellington. She was a confirmed member of Grace Lutheran Church. She attended McKinley grade school and graduated from Watertown High School in 1974. Molly worked at the A & W as a car hop while in Jr. High. She worked at Herberger's in the fabric department while in Sr. High. After graduation in 1974 she worked for Midland National Life until Midland moved to Sioux Falls in 1976. She married Lonnie Greenfield on Nov. 1, 1975. They farmed near Castlewood for 4 years and moved to Watertown in 1979. Molly began a daycare and pre-school in their home from 1978 to 1990. In 1990 to 2000, she worked at Wal-Mart in Watertown. In 2000 she was employed by the Redlin Art Center until 2010.

She enjoyed sewing, photography and crafts. She enjoyed participating in the Watertown Winter Farm Show for many years. She also was active in fundraising with Lon for the Special Olympics Torch Run. She was a member of both Elks and the Watertown Presbyterian Church. Molly enjoyed going to the zoo with her granddaughters.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, John Wellington and her Father-in-law, Robert.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie, and their two sons, Steven & Renae Greenfield and James Greenfield; one daughter, Laura Greenfield, and three grand-daughters, all of Watertown; three brothers and their wives, Russell & Christine Price of Boot Lake, MN, Daniel & Connie Price of Watertown and Philip & Pat Wellington of Cole Camp, MO; one sister, Melody & Orvin Torstenson of Sioux Falls; mother-in-law, Vivian Greenfield, Watertown, SD; two sisters-in-law, Pam and Bill Tanner, Castlewood, SD; Patty and Bruce Whitaker, Loveland, CO; and many nieces and nephews.

The family and Molly requests no plants or flowers. Any memorials please direct to the Watertown Bramble Park Zoo.
